1. Name of the post : Assistant Engineers

Number of vacancies : 48

Qualification :

1. Diploma (3 yrs. Monthly remuneration - Rs. 20,000/- + EPF (Employer’s contribution)

2. Name of the post : Sr. Manager

Number of vacancies : 30

Qualification :

1. BE/B.Tech/B.Sc.(Engineering) or equivalent engineering Degree with min. 55% marks or equivalent CGPA, in any one of the following branches: -

Electronics & Communication Engg. or –

Telecommunications Engg. or –

Electronics Engg. or –

Electrical Engg. or –

Electronics & Electrical Engg. or –

Computer Science or –

Information Technology or –

any other combination of subjects where Electronics is one of the subjects like Electronics & Instrumentation OR

1. Master in Computer Applications (MCA)- with min. 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Experience : 6 years (min.) working experience in the field of execution of Optical Fiber Cable or other telecom infrastructure Projects and/or Operation & Maintenance of Optic Fiber Cable/ equipment/ network or other telecom infrastructure.

E-3 Level: Scale: Rs. 24,900 – Rs. 50,500 + applicable IDA + HRA + applicable allowances & perks admissible, as per extant RailTel’s Policy for E-3 level.

3. Name of the post : Asst. General Manager

Number of vacancies : 08

Qualification :

1. BE/B.Tech/B.Sc.(Engineering) or equivalent engineering Degree with min. 55% marks or equivalent CGPA, in any one of the following branches: -

Electronics & Communication Engg. or –

Telecommunications Engg. or –

Electronics Engg. or –

Electrical Engg. or –

Electronics & Electrical Engg. or –

Computer Science or –

Information Technology or –

any other combination of subjects where Electronics is one of the subjects like Electronics & Instrumentation OR

Experience : 8 years (min.) working experience in the field of execution of Optical Fiber Cable or other telecom infrastructure Projects and/or infrastructure Projects and/or Operation & Maintenance of Optic Fiber Cable/ equipment/ network or other telecom infrastructure.

E-4 Level: Scale: Rs. 29,100 – Rs. 54,500 + applicable IDA + HRA + applicable allowances & perks admissible, as per extant RailTel’s Policy for E-4 level.

Scheme of Selection:

selection will be made through written test and /or interview of shortlisted applicants at a place to be decided by RailTel.

How to Apply:

Only online registration shall be considered. Application through any other mode shall not be entertained. Applicants shall have to pay the application-processing fee of Rs. 200/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST/PwD). The fee will be collected through payment gateway only during online registration process. Any processing charges towards the same plus GST etc., if any, will have to be borne by the applicant. Application fee once paid will not be returned under any circumstances.

Procedure for filling up / submission of on-line application is briefed below:

Step-1 :  Go to URL (www.railtelindia.com) and click the link 'Careers'. On the page 'Careers', check the Vacancy for " Technical Personnel- NOFN/NER "

Step-2  : Read the detailed notification and before uploading / Submission of Application form, the Applicant should carefully ensure his / her eligibility for the post being applied for.

Step-3 :  Click on the link 'Click Here to apply online for this vacancy' mentioned under 'Careers' page.

Step-4 : It will be easy for applicants to complete the Application form by keeping the documents like Educational Details & Employment details ready with them before moving to filling Application form.

Step-5 : Do the Pre-registration first by entering details like First name, Last name, Father's name, DOB, Email Id and Select the password.

Step-6  : Once the Pre-registration is complete, the Applicant will receive an email on his email Id mentioned in step 5. It will be either in Inbox or in Spam folder.

Step-7 : Check the email Id, to get the User name. Once User name is received, click on Candidate login page. Enter the User name, Password and Captcha. Main Registration page will open.

Step-8 :  Vacancy name and details mentioned in Step 5 by Candidate will be shown. You cannot modify the details mentioned in step 5. So, please enter the details during pre-registration stage carefully. Only one pre-registration is allowed on every email Id. Enter other details like Category, Mother's name, Address, Employment Details & Qualification Details.

Step-9 : Based on Vacancy, certain Experience criteria are mentioned as a Questionnaire, which is mandatory to be filled in by the Candidate in the form of 'Yes/No' response.

Step-10 : Candidate needs to upload the photograph and signature in the appropriate space and format and size mentioned in the application form.

Step-11 : Once all details are entered, candidate can either proceed to 'Edit Application' to modify the details entered in Main Registration page or click on 'Submit' option to proceed to payment.

Step-12 : After clicking on Submit button, Candidate can review the major details entered by him. This page will give details of the payment to be made by the candidate. Click on 'Make Payment' Button, then Payment gateway will open, Candidate need to enter the details given by Payment gateway and make payment accordingly.
