1. Name of post : Deputy Director/ Inspector of Schools/District Elementary Education Officerunder Assam education Service.
No of posts: 7 [UR: 6, OBC: 1]
Pay: New Pay Scale Rs 30000-110000/- GP-Rs 14500 PM/ PB-4 plus other allowances as admissible under the rules. (As per ROP, 2016)
Age: A candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 43 years of age on 01- 01-2017 as per Govt. OM No. ABP.06/2016/04, dtd 03-03-2016.
Educational Qualification: A candidate must have Second Class Master degree in any stream with B.T/ B.Ed. Degree with uniformly brilliant academic career and possessing 10(ten) years of teaching experience in school/ college or 10(ten) years experience in administration of which 5(five) years must be in teaching.

2. Name of post : District Museum Officer under Cultural Affairs Department.
No of posts: 3 
Pay: Rs. 30000/- to Rs. 110000/- (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs. 12700/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules. (As per ROP, 2016)
Age: 21 years to 43 years of age on 01-01-2017. The upper age is relax able by 5 years in case of SC/ST and PWD candidates
Educational Qualification: Master Degree in Sanskrit/Archaeology/ History with ancient History or MA/ M.Sc in Anthropology with 55% marks and knowledge of museum method.
OR
MA in Museology.
